Type 1 Diabetes - Are you having frequent low blood sugars? - Study Details

We are currently seeking volunteers, ages 18-75, to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a study medicine in reducing the frequency of nocturnal hypoglycemia in Type 1 Diabetes. This is a 20-week study that consists of six site visits plus two phone visits.

Key Criteria:
Must have type 1 Diabetes for at least 5 years and having frequent hypoglycemia.
If not using a CGM then must be willing to wear a CGM provided by Sponsor.
Must be willing to give self a bedtime injection daily for 28 days study.

Type 1 Diabetes - Do you have protein in your urine? - Study Details

We are currently seeking volunteers over the age of 18 to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to obtain approval for the already marketed drug Finerenone to include treatment of Type 1 Diabetes patients who have protein in their urine. This is a 7-month study that consists of six visits one month apart.

Key Criteria:
Must have Type 1 Diabetes.
Must have chronic kidney disease with over 200mg/gm protein in urine.

Type 2 Diabetes - Study to evaluate an insulin pill. - Study Details

We are currently seeking volunteers, age 50 and above, to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral insulin in improving glucose control in Type 2 Diabetes. This is a 57-week study that consists of seven site visits about 6 weeks apart.

Key Criteria:
Must have Type 2 Diabetes for at least 6 months and be willing to wear a CGM twice during the study.
Must not be on injectable insulin.

Thyroid Condition - Do yo have an overactive thyroid? - Study Details

We are currently seeking volunteers, age 18 – 75, to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the study drug in patients with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism due to Graves’ disease. This is a 52-week study that consists of twenty-seven site visits about 1 – 4 weeks apart. Visits are frequent for safety monitoring since earlier studies show that some patients improved their thyroid function shortly after taking the drug.

Key Criteria:
Must be on Methimazole or PTU or at least 3 months.
Cannot have had prior thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine.
Must not be taking Levothyroxine.
Must be willing to do a weekly injection via an autoinjector or have nurse give you the injection.

Heart Condition - Do you have heart disease with heart failure? - Study Details

A research study to look at how well CagriSema (combination Ozempic and Cagrilintide) works compared to placebo for reducing the risk of heart failure worsening and death in people with heart failure with preserved or mildly reduced ejection fraction and obesity. This is a one-to-three year study that consists of twenty site visits about 1-2 months apart.

Key Criteria:
Must have 18 or above with at least mild heart failure and obesity (BMI 30 or above).
Must be willing to do a weekly injection.
Must not be on any GLP1 analogs.
