Office and virtual visit guidelines due to COVID-19 outbreak

Medicare Telehealth visit

  • Schedule an interactive visit using audio and video instead of an office visit
  • Medicare co-insurance and deductible will apply and must be paid by credit card at time of visit
  • Virtual visit will last 20 minutes.

Virtual check-in – medical visit

  • If you have not been seen in the office in the preceding 7 days
  • Contact our office by telephone or patient portal and give verbal consent to have a virtual visit
  • Relay your concerns to the Nurse who will determine if visit can be done virtually vs in office
  • ARNP or MD will contact you by telephone or the patient portal
  • Medicare co-insurance and deductible will apply and must be paid by credit card at time of visit

Virtual check-in – Remote monitoring – CGM/ Insulin Pump / InPen download

  • If you have not been seen in the office in the preceding 7 days
  • Let us know that you have uploaded your pump/CGM/ InPen data for our review
  • ARNP or MD will review data and contact you within 24 business hours via telephone or patient portal with recommendations
  • Medicare co-insurance and deductible will apply and must be paid by credit card at time of visit

E-visit – up to 7 days monitoring

  • If you have not been seen in the office in the preceding 7 days
  • Contact our office by telephone or patient portal and give verbal consent to have a virtual visit
  • Relay your concerns to the Nurse who will determine if visit can be done virtually vs in office
  • ARNP or MD will contact you by telephone or the patient portal
  • We will manage you virtually for up to 7 days
  • Medicare co-insurance and deductible will apply and must be paid by credit card at the end of the 7 days follow up. There is one co-pay for this visit.

Office in-person visit

  • Limited to patients whose medical concern cannot be managed as a virtual visit
  • Please call the office or ask to schedule a visit thru the patient portal
  • Patients who have flu-like symptoms, recent travel or hospital visits or admissions within the past 2 weeks will be assessed via telephone prior to being given an office visit. No walk-ins permitted.
